Never not working...
Time flies when you're having fun, suddenly its mid August and you start wondering where did the time go, and was I able to do all that I wanted and more. Its bitter sweet, having to say goodbye to yet another incredible summer.
I spent many weekends at the lake, took a trip out to Toronto to visit friends and family, enjoyed patio season and of course spent many hours in my killer garden at home. But all fun aside, I spent the majority of my time working, saving money, and setting new goals for myself. Apart from blogging, which is my heart and creative outlet, I work full time for Canadian Pacific Railway. I know what you're thinking, trains are not related to fashion at all.. and you're right but it is because of my employment with the railway that I've been able to reach many goals, and follow my dreams. How? Well if I didn't have a good job, I couldn't afford to run my website, pay my bills, buy the clothes and things I like, or travel as much as I do. Needless to say, working full time, and juggling the crazy shift work, is a sacrifice i'm willing to make in order to be where I want to be and trust me when I say, I won't stop until I get there. Besides, I should probably put my University degree to good use and who doesn't love full benefits and paid holiday time!
Denim shorts are always apart of my summer wardrobe, and this year I discovered a new brand, Noul. Dedicated to a contemporary lifestyle, Canadian based brand Noul has a simplicity and clean look to each piece created that I truly appreciate. For me, I love a washed out, relaxed fit, with a perfect frayed hem and these shorts have that covered. Here, I paired them with this 100% pure silk camisole. It is so delicate and lightweight and has such a beautiful feminine look that can be dressed up or down, day or night.
