Its been one month since my visit to the big apple, and boy do I ever miss it. Life has been extremely busy here at home, but I finally got around to getting this blog finished and I super excited about it. I spent part of my visit capturing the street style of the everyday people of New York. One of the first people I captured was Belgian model Hanne Gaby Odiele. I spotted her walking down 5th ave and I was immediately intrigued. Her whole outfit, particularly the patchwork on her suede vest and her vintage boots, were striking. Funny thing, It wasn't until I noticed her in a fashion week article that I realized who I had met. Celebrating ten years on the catwalk this season, Hanne was charming and kind and not to mention extremely stylish. I can specifically remember asking her who she was wearing and I'll never forget how beautiful her accent was when she told me her boots were vintage Saint Laurent. Hanne's distinct look is irresistibly charming and I am so grateful to have been able to meet her and capture this beautiful photo of her.
As the week progressed, I met more beautiful woman who I felt inspired by. Of all the things I love about New York, I'm most intrigued by the uniqueness that each person has to offer and these woman had just that. They expressed themselves with such confidence and poise, it was so refreshing and infectious.
I'd like to shout out Hanne and the beautiful women below for allowing me to capture these photos of them. If you ever come across my blog, i'd like to say thank you for inspiring me, I love your style!!
New York has some of the best shopping of any City I've visited. The streets are filled with top end designers, charming boutiques and legendary department stores. It's complete bliss. One week was definitely not enough time to get around to everything, but I managed to visit a few of my favorite stores, captured some great photos and made a couple of great purchases!
