It's an exciting time of year, all of my favorite stores are blowing out their summer stuff which means I can shop till I drop without feeling guilty!
I picked up this cute Talula varick bra top a couple weeks ago. It is knitted with a comfy and textural yarn. It has a low, scooped neckline and back - as well as a cropped hem with small slits on each side. While crop tops are not for everyone, try to keep an open mind with them by layering your pieces or wearing high waisted bottoms for a bit of extra coverage. The white denim i'm wearing here is another classic from JBrand. They were constructed in a stretchy denim with a super soft hand feel. This specific pair is going on to its second summer for me, they have made for the perfect wardrobe staple all year round, yes, even after labor day.
My sunglasses obsession continues, and if you know me, you know what I mean. I picked up these beautiful cat's-eye sunglasses in Miami a couple years ago. They have a subtle maroon and yellow color palette with just enough of a cat's-eye silhouette. They were designed by the late 'Lee' Alexander McQueen, a British fashion designer and couturier. For those of you who don't know much about him, here's a bit of a background. Before passing, he was the creative director for Gucci group and it was there that he built his own empire. In less than 10 years McQueen became one of the most respected fashion designers in the world. His fascinating run way shows, known for their emotional power, raw energy, and romantic nature, inspired and wowed the world of fashion. McQueen was a genius and a true visionary who pushed boundaries, challenged and inspired. You can read more on the great Alexander McQueen by visiting his website www.alexandermcqueen.com.
For all of you coffee table book keepers, I've purchased a few of his books and I highly recommend Savage Beauty.
